Presented is a Georgian, English sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle made by Jonathan Hayne of London in 1829. The ladle is in the classic Fiddle pattern and the front has an engraving of a crowned fish crest. There is a small bow or 3 leaf clover on the top of the crown. The back is marked with the leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter of the letter o for the year 1829 and a maker's mark for Jonathan Hayne. This piece is in great condition for its age. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs. Length: 7 1/8 inches. Weight: 68.4 grams.
