Exquisite Pair 18k Gold Natural Hexagonal Sapphire Slice ~8.75ct Iolite Earrings

Presented is a gorgeous pair of 18 karat gold, sapphire, and iolite earrings, almost certainly by jewelry designer Paula Crevoshay. Each earring is set with a huge slice of hexagonal growth dichroic sapphire as a central focus, with oval cut iolite stones above, below, and to each side. Each of the sapphire slices measure about 20 by 19 millimeters, and are left in their naturally occurring shapes as cross sections of a hexagonal sapphire crystal; the stones are both distinct individuals, but still match nicely. The growth lines of the stones form almost a rayed star design, which is very striking. Each of the iolite stones measures approximately 7 by 5.5 millimeters, or about 1.18ct each. The removable drops or dangles at the bottom of each earring are also each set with an oval faceted iolite, measuring about 9 by 7 millimeters, or about 2 carats each.
