Fabulous Whiting Louis XV Sterling Silver Salad Serving Set W Mono 8 Inches

Presented is a fabulous sterling silver salad serving set from Whiting. This pair is in the Louis XV pattern, which was patented in 1891. The pattern displays elegant scrolls along the edge of the handles. There is a monogram on the back of each handle, W, in a gothic script. The reverse is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Whiting Manufacturing Company and the patent date. The pair is also marked with a retailer “CAW Crosby & Son”.
