Gorgeous c1920s 18k White Gold Sapphire & Diamond Ring
Presented is a beautiful 18 karat white gold, sapphire and diamond ring. This is an American ring, dating to around the 1920s. The ring is done in a 'navette' style, set with four diamonds and four sapphires around a larger central diamond. The center diamond is about 60-65 points in size, a very clean stone of H/I color and VS-1 clarity, maybe even VVS. The surrounding diamonds are old mine cuts of 8-10 points each in size, of SI-1 to VS-2 clarity and H/I color. The total diamond weight is around 92-105 points, right around 1 carat. The sapphires are done in an interesting rectangular cut. We think the sapphires are synthetic, which is not unusuale for rings of this style and time period, when the means for creating manmade sapphires was still fairly new. The white gold setting features delicate engraving on the shoulders, with a milgrain finish around the stones. The ring is in great overall condition. The diamonds and sapphires are securely set. There are no breaks and no repairs.
