La Pierre Sterling Silver Green Ombre Glass Decanter Set w/ 4 Cups Art Nouveau

Presented is a fabulous sterling silver overlay green glass decanter with four matching cups, by La Pierre, dating to circa 1900. These pieces are made from beautiful green glass that fades to clear in a sort of ombre effect which is very appealing. The glass is adorned with a thick gauge sterling silver overlay with a grape cluster, vine, and leaf motif, very much in the Art Nouveau style of the time. The decanter and all the cups have a monogram of DeFC in flowing script. This decanter and set of four cups are in excellent overall condition. The decanter has some white discoloration here and there inside, which could be cleaned up professionally. None of the cups or the decanter have any chips to the glass, losses to the silver overlay, breaks, monogram removals, or repairs. We are including with this set a fifth glass which has a crack and tiny chip to the rim, because it came to us with the set; this cup does not contribute to the price of the set, it is a free gift.
