Presented is a wonderful American Brilliant Period cut glass compote or pedestal bowl, perfect for a candy dish. This piece dates to circa 1900-1925, and is unsigned, but the high quality of the work suggests a high end, well known maker like Hawkes, Tuthill, Dorflinger, or the like. The basin of the bowl is beautifully cut with intricate hobstars and fans which catch the light dazzlingly. The rim is done in a classical toothed and scalloped design, while the pedestal foot has a rayed star cut into the bottom. Really a lovely little dish. This piece is in excellent condition. There are one or two little fleabites here and there, but nothing you'd notice without going over the piece with a fine tooth comb under strong light. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The compote stands about 5 1/4 inches to the rim, and measures about 5 3/4 inches in diameter. -jm Rare Quality American or English Cut Glass Daisy Sunflower Floral Bowl 8.75\" 26277 Video will open in a new
