Lovely Victorian Bohemian Garnet & 10k Gold Bangle Bracelet

Presented is a lovely Victorian Bohemian garnet and 10 karat gold hinged bangle bracelet. This piece dates to the second half of the 1800s. The bracelet is done in a simple, classic style, set with 4 millimeter garnet points along half its exterior. The garnets are a rich deep red, very complementary with the 10 karat gold, which has a rosy tint to it. This is a Bohemian garnet piece of exceptional and rare quality, as they are usually gold filled or pinchbeck rather than solid gold. The bracelet has an attached safety chain for additional security. The bracelet is in great condition. The clasp functions well and the bracelet snaps shut nicely. The garnets are all intact. There are no breaks and no repairs. The bracelet is not stamped or hallmarked, but we have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 10 karat gold. The bracelet is about 7 inches in circumference (interior) when fastened. The bracelet weighs 14.8 grams. -jm
