Each earring is set with an oval cabochon of rubellite tourmaline measuring about 9.75 x 7.7 millimeters, in a wonderful rich and saturated shade of dark pink, each about 3.33 ct in weight, for a total carat weight of about 6.66ct. Beneath the tourmalines, each earring is set with a triangular piece of rutilated quartz, an interesting variety of clear quartz crystal with interior inclusions of bright gold color material that looks almost like fine wire.
