In 1998, a planned year-long trip turned into a three-year journey that led to a life-changing experience in Kathmandu. There, a chance encounter with a paper maker inspired the idea for a new business. Returning to the UK with two boxes of handmade journals and photo albums, Paper High began at Camden Market, where the unique, handcrafted products quickly gained popularity. As the business grew, further travels brought connections with Fair Trade suppliers in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, including an elephant dung paper producer.
