ABOUT THE WORK Contact was a body of work I created throughout 2020/2021 about discovering language in response to interactions with nature after giving birth. It reminds me of a day that I felt a strong desire to stand in a thunderstorm. My body on this day was physically healing having endured childbirth but this impulse came from a psychic language that was new to me. I was drawn more to the atmosphere, into the electricity of this natural phenomenon of a heavy rain for a certain kind of communication that touched more than the body.
