Ouisi X Getty: Games of Visual Connection

OuiSi x Getty is a set of 210 Art Cards from the J. Paul Getty Museum collection, with a Guidebook full of creative activities. Each Art Card displays a close-up of an artistic element found in a museum artwork, from Van Gogh’s Irises to items never before on display. On the back of each Art Card you’ll find a full picture of the artwork, as well as a QR code that links to a unique page at www.getty.edu. There, players can learn more about each artwork and artist. VISUAL CONNECTIONS A novel aspect of Getty x OuiSi is that it highlights the repetition of patterns, shapes and colors found in the museum collection (and life itself). When two Art Cards feature similar elements –circles, for example – that makes a “Visual Connection.” Thousands of Visual Connections are waiting to be found, each offering a delightful “aha!” moment.
