ESU LokSound 5 Fx – sound enabled function decoder The LokSound 5 Fx is the latest addition to the LokSound 5 family and really is a special case; it has no motor output and has been specifically designed for use in dummy carriages which require a sound decoder but do not have a motor to drive themselves. By removing the motor drive circuitry, it can still offer all the great sound features as the other LokSound 5 members, but at a size of only 21.5mm x 15.5mm and costs much less in comparison.
