GORGEOUS  19th Century Antique French Oak Renaissance Revival "DOLPHIN"  Writing Table or Desk with Center Drawer ~~Victorian Era~~c. 1880s  "Dolphin" tables were very popular in late Victorian era French and English country homes and castles~~this is a beautiful example of the often requested smaller version~~characterized by elaborate Renaissance Revival carvings and Gothic elements~~eye-catching ornate pedestal feet resembling dolphins or sea creatures~~these were high quality tables that could have only been afforded by royalty or the very wealthy! Wonderful relief-carved beveled edge top with canted corner lion masks and brass rings~~center drawer with "masked" pull~~all drop finials are intact~~carved on all four sides~~will "float in the center of any room" With so many people working from home now, DESKS have become our most often requested items this year~~this is a wonderful small French oak desk or table with one wide center drawer ~~sturdy and stable legs and stretcher~
