Rawhide - Dahlia Tuber

This variety is: RAWHIDE. 'Rawhide' is a fantastically unique color combination, like a mauve-y, yellowy-pink. It is also a waterlily type dahlia, meaning the blooms are very flat with only a few layers of petals. They are about 4 inches in diameter. This variety has really long stems which are perfect for bouquets and arrangements, though because they are flat the blooms are best layered above other, more voluminous blooms. The plant is very neat and orderly looking, and grows to be about 4 feet tall. Also, the plant gets COVERED in blooms... It really responds well to consistent deadheading of the spent blooms to replenish them.  It'll start flowering in mid-summer and continue through fall.  My name's Eve, and I am a dahlia farmer and college student in Battle Ground, WA.
