Once contact is made, Cutrine Granular begins working immediately, breaking down the algae’s cellular structure and halting its ability to photosynthesize. It effectively controls planktonic algae within 24–48 hours and filamentous algae in 3–4 days. Apply early in the season when growth first appears to reduce both the amount of product needed and dead algae buildup. For safety, treat only 1/3 to 1/2 of your pond at a time to prevent oxygen depletion. Application rate: 1 lb per 750 sq ft or 60 lbs per surface acre. Spread evenly across the treatment area. No water use restrictions—treated water is safe for swimming, fishi
