Brand: Waltham Item Number: 1888 Description: This super accurate vintage Waltham, railroad style wrist watch was converted from a pocket watch. A strong running Waltham, Grade 625, 16 size, 17 jewels, with a hunter adjusted movement, Waltham Patent micrometric regulator, screw-set jewel settings, gold center wheel, gold balance screws, nickel plate, stem wind, pendant-set (converted to pin-set) movement. This highly desirable vintage watch has the original movement in excellent order, with a dead flat and true balance wheel motion that has a fine, wide arc and strong beat. The movement is a smooth wind that starts right up after the 4th wind. The watch has been very well preserved. Movement has been serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time. Circa 1920's. New hand-crafted, stainless steel, polished 47.5 mm case. Thickness: 15.5mm.
