Jacquère is a fun varietal unique to the Savoie region of the French Alps. These brisk cool climate wines have been famously characterized by wine writer Hugh Johnson as “drinking mountain air,” and this bottle by Domaine Eugene Carrel & Fils couldn’t be more exemplary of that.
