Domaine Roche Guillon Beaujolais-Villages 2023 (Beaujolais, France)
Five generations of winemakers on the same hillside, this family owned domaine is located in the Fleurie appellation of the northern part of the Beaujolais region. In order to retain the vibrancy of the aromatics and intensity of the flavors, the wines are bottled unfiltered in springtime following the harvest. The Fleurie appellation is considered to be the most feminine of the cru appellations. This Beaujolais-Villages has similar characteristics with pretty floral aromas and notes of red and black currants and a hint of pepper on the palate, followed by a lingering earthy minerality on the finish. Food Ideas:Mushroom & spaghetti squash “pasta” with sage brown butter, grilled vegetable tostadas, meatloaf over smashed potatoes ABV: 13.5%
