In 1887, Jules Dupont arrived as tenant farmer at La Vigannerie-the old name of the present estate. In parallel with his cattle raising activity, he produced cider and calvados. Thanks to his sales of these, he was able to buy La Vigannerie in 1916. Two generations later, in 1980, his grandson Etienne Dupont took over the reins and begin a path of high quality ciders, pommeau and calvados. In order to reach perfect balance in their ciders and calvados, they manually sort the apples and use up to 13 different varietals of apples. We get nice earthy qualities and a little funk with tart and ripe apple with fine bubbles and a dry finish. Alcohol: 5.5%
