Il Palazzino Rosso 2021 (Tuscany, Italy)

Podere Il Palazzino, owned by Alessandro and Andrea Sderci, is located in Monti in Chianti. The family became owners of the estate in the mid nineteenth century, but wine has only been produced and sold since the 1970s. Natural viticulture has been followed for many years and the estate is now certified organic. This 95% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo & Colorino blend presents with earthy notes on the nose, along with leather, spice, and berries.  With about 15-20 minutes of air it'll give you dark berry fruit, spices (a hint of sage), and chalky tannins on the finish. Food Ideas: Espresso braised lamb (or beef), pasta with korean spiced tempeh with julienned carrots and spinach, any pasta with a red sauce, hard cheeses and charcuterie ABV: 13.5%
