Zantho Blaufrankisch 2022 (Burgenland, Austria)

The label says “Blaufränkisch” (Austria’s name for the grape), but we could also call it Lemberger, Blauer Limburger, Frankovka (Franconia), Modra frankinja, Kékfrankos, or Gamé. But heck, Blaufränkisch is kind of fun to say. And, this is a fun wine.  Dark black cherries, earthy spicy notes, soft tannins, and good acidity make it a good match with a variety of meals and people.
