We wanted to offer an introduction to Japanese green tea that feels good and is universally approachable. The style of this tea is called 玄米茶 genmaicha which literally means "brown rice tea." This lovely organic green tea is paired with “popped” organic rice which is grown on a neighboring farm. There is a surprise of lovely little popped kernels of rice in each batch. While many green teas offer up a bit too much caffeine for an evening cup, we find this tea to be suitable for any time of day. It's also wonderful alongside just about any meal making it a lovely offering in a dining experience. Notes Popcorn and nuttiness abound with a touch of fresh grass and a slight hint of florality. Very refreshing! Less caffeine than most green teas and can be enjoyed anytime of day or evening. Experiment with dose to get something light and refreshing or toasty and punchy.
