Summer Wind

This is a very unique tea and it’s sort of a unicorn among scented teas. For us it checks all the boxes the first being environment. It's made from younger  Tiě Guānyīn bushes that have been left to grow wild without any intervention. The weeds and undergrowth are springing up beneath their branches almost overtaking them. The base tea is produced in a more traditional manner with more oxidation and a bit heavier roast. The tea is subtly and respectfully scented with gardenia blossoms from old well established bushes growing naturally nearby. It was made in May of 2022 and will settle a bit with time. When compared with Summer Breeze the floral scenting here is much more gentle and integrated. At times you can taste some of the florality and characteristics of tea varietal and other times a bit of the more sturdy roast. The interplay between the tea and the floral scenting creates something neither the flower or tea possess on their own. It's really quite a delight and will surely chan
