X Ant Farm - All-In-One Nest and Outworld

Perfect ant farm setup for starting a new colony or transferring an existing colony. The X Ant Farm provides the entire environment needed for your ant colony - both a nesting space and a foraging space, oriented to the actual environment ants live in - nesting below ground, foraging above ground, and bottom up hydration. The X-shaped nesting space constrains the tunneling of your colony to 3/4 inch width (15mm) allowing for most of the tunnels and chambers to be seen by you the ant keeper. The X shape doubles the nesting space available compared to single pane vertical ant farms.  The outworld/foraging area is designed to help prevent ants from escaping. The corners are rounded and the large feeding chute allows for the application of a climbing deterrent like Vaseline or fluon. Air holes are small enough to contain most species. Additionally, the outworld has a port allowing connections to other gear if desired. A plug and a test tube are included with the kit. The port is compatible
