Exposed RTD Element Sensor Design 3 WIre Pt100 with 48 Inch Long Leads and Connector The RTD Sensor is a 3 Wire Pt100 design with an exposed thin film RTD element and 48 Inches (4 ft) of 3 Conductor Nickel Plated Plastic Fluoropolymer (PFA) insulated 26 gage stranded lead wire with a 3 pin Male Miniature Connector attached. The RTD sensor assembly has a -90 to 500 F (-70 to 260 C) temperature operating range and RTD element is Class A thin film design  The exposed sensor to cable connection is encased with a 500 F rated epoxy potting compound to insulate and further reinforce the transition area. The wire has a 500 F (260C) temperature insulation rating, it is a  twisted construction and an overall nominal diameter of .072”.  The 3-wire design provides a higher level of temperature measurement accuracy as compared to a 2-wire design.
