Certis Biologicals Mycotrol WPO is a mycoinsecticide, an insecticide using live fungal spores (Mycoinsecticide – Wettable Powder) for the control of adult and immature stages of aphids, thrips, whiteflies and more. The active ingredient Beauveria bassiana provides a natural control for a wide variety of insects at various life stages. Mycotrol WPO contains the highest spore concentration in a Beauveria bassiana-containing insecticide. After application, the spores adhere to the host insect and use enzymes to attack and ultimately dissolve the cuticle that surrounds and contains the body cavity. As it grows, the Beauveria bassiana fungus will ultimately kill the unwanted insects without harming most beneficials.
