No fixed base required as for Gen II Tool Probe Mount. System mounts to Kinematic T-Nut in buried tee-slot. Machine table is of obstructions when  tool probe removed. Remove and replace the tool probe as often as desired – no re-calibration needed. Repeatability less than 3 microns.
