Betrayal in Blood

By Michael Benson. Perhaps the least tastelessly named of Benson's genre oeuvre, this one tells the story of a murder for hire, perpetrated by the victim's half-brother for five grand. This paperback is a little bit frumpy -- cracked spine, cornerwear, that dowdy Walmart sticker on the front -- but the pages are holding firm, and this will get the job done.
