By James B. Stewart. The doctor in question is Michael Swango; Stewart, an oft-decorated author, won an Edgar for this one (and, coincidentally, reviewed another denizen of the shop shelves, The Count and the Confession, for the Times). This first-edition hardcover has some very mild shelfwear to the jacket, and some scuff marks the page edges. Otherwise, straight spine, pages clean -- a nice reading copy.
