This true story is, per the back cover, "perhaps the first true-crime book written at the victim's request" -- and one of Rule's higher-profile single-case books, about the murder of Sheila Blackthorne Bellush.  This hardcover's jacket has some rubbing and edgewear from storage, and some dust/spots on the page edges, but the pages are clean, just a couple of tiny dog-ears towards the back. A fine reading copy/doorstop.
