The Year of Fear: Machine Gun Kelly and the Manhunt that Changed the Nation

By Joe Urschel. One of the few subtitles that made me want to sit down with the book immediately; according to the jacket blurbs, it's an "action-packed" book about the birth of J. Edgar Hoover's FBI...with all that that implies. And it seems the subject kidnapped the author's grandfather? This is a first edition in good shape: some evidence of a previous price sticker on the front jacket, but minimal edge- and shelf-wear beyond that, and the spine is straight, pages clean and tight.
