ABOUT THE WORK Corey Mason’s confident linework and halo-like layers of intentional smudges and fingerprints present an insistent tactility and immediacy that recalls the Paleolithic cave paintings of France and Spain. Underwear and Fish are two related series of unique works on paper, playing on the colloquialism of a fish out of water.
