Raitt's hand-finished series transforms his original painting into twelve distinctive worlds, each print reflecting unique opportunities for ethereal exploration — from hot sunrises to atmospheric moonlit nights and the moments in between. Taking inspiration from personal photography on sunrise dog walks to art historical examples of how color was utilized by the Les Nabis painters, as well as an ongoing reflection on the Hudson River School, Raitt’s unflinching gaze permits for subjective tenderness amongst the verisimilitude.
