Global Key Knife Key chain Retro  Here is a blast from the past.  This is a retro Key Knife we used to buy in the 60's.  The blade is made from 440 stainless.  The key is attached to chain and split ring making a great key chain. closed 2-1/2" Blade 1-3/4" Open 4" You can pick a Silver or a Gold Key This is more of a novelty knife.  You would not want to use this knife for self defense.  There is a good chance it could fold back into the key.  A regular key makes a better self defense weapon.  Read more about using keys as a self defense weapon check out our outdoor blog Extremely Sharp Life. During the roaring 20's people were going to speak easy's, dancing and having a good time.  World War I (the war to end all wars)  was over and it was time to prosper.  Locks were beginning to change and skeleton keys were becoming a thing of the past.  These key knives started to show up as a novelty.  Flappers kept them in their purses and blokes showed them to their friends.  They became the  talk of the town from New York to Los Angeles.  Everyone had a key knife.
