Senneh rugs - also spelled Senna - are hand-woven carpets or kilims made in Senneh in western/northwestern Iran. These pile rugs and kilims are prized for their delicate motifs and color palettes as well as for their fine weave - among the most finely woven of Persian rugs (with knot counts up to 400 per square inch) and come in a range of medallion or all-over design patterns with small scale Herati repeats. Being single wefted, they tend to wear less than other comparable rugs produced in surrounding villages. Senneh rugs and carpets always display a meticulous, geometric drawing that corresponds to the precision of the weave.
