If you are looking for a great thermal to "buy once, cry once" with long range capabilities, this thermal is it! What does that mean? When you're ranging coyotes out in flat grassland or in a flat field with sagebrush, this thermal will be ranging the coyote while other thermals with a big divergence will be ranging the brush and other  things giving you inaccurate readings.  Other tube style optics either have internal batteries which go bad after a few years and you have to send to the manufacturer for replacement, or, they run on one 18650 that you need to replace every 3 hours.
