This Canadian Goose is the talk of the town showing off this fantastic bonnet! Fashioned from ticking fabric boasting rich chocolate browns with a contrasting buttermilk stripe, this special bonnet is sure to please! The machine stitching forms an intricate design with open swirls overlaying a vertical pattern. Mustard thread was used on the outside while the inside has a beautiful pumpkin colored thread complimenting green swirls. See images 5 & 11. This bonnet has a nice ruffled edge that was initially basted and then machine sewn with pumpkin thread as show in image 4. There is a small portion of fabric wear located at the top edge of the brim. The cotton muslin does show through in this area only as can be seen in image 7. The colors are very strong without any fading to report. Some of this fabric has just a whisper of darkening that is consistent with age but this piece has been well preserved and cared for though the years. No holes or rips to report and there are no traces
