Autumn Tennessee Appalachia Cabin Wool Felted Painting with Grain Painted Frame
I was fortunate enough to acquire this beautiful wool painting boasting gorgeous detail sprinkled with spicy autumn charm. The artist used a wet needle felted, time - honored technique implementing skill and precision to create this special wool textile. This piece was mounted in a hand fashioned grain painted frame, under glass, to protect this fine piece of folk art. The scene depicts a log cabin nestled in the Appalachia mountains of Tennessee flanked by glorious autumn colored trees. Wee pumpkins dot the landscape and add magnificent color while corn stalks grace this cabin with touches of color. This design is dimensional so each pumpkin, tree and leaf seem to almost come out of the painting to greet you in person (please enlarge images for more detail)! Interesting hand embroidered stitches can also be found throughout this stylized creation.
