19th Century dry 2 quart measure marked “Frye” Wilton, New Hampshire is bursting with joyful pleasantries for the holiday season and beyond that are all included as shown. Dry measure is in splendid condition sporting a reinforced metal band near the top. Individual nails follow suit in a vertical line where the overlap meets along with pegged construction near the bottom. Nail bleed along with minor cracks on the opposing sides of some nails in the front are related to age. There are a couple small chips near the overlap located on the bottom. Measure sporting a nutmeg appearance showing dark contrast areas throughout makes for a special piece. The back side is marked in dark letters showing “Dry 2 Qt Measure” while the inside also lends markings from "Made by B Frye & Son, Wilton, N.H.” An array of oranges, a slitted lime, dried apple slices, beechnut pods, cinnamon sticks, chenille candy canes and snow tipped greens call home inside the measure.
