Early Wall Box Glorious Red Paint

The late 19th century box boasts a half circle top that terminates into a short step followed by another horizontal and graduated stepped edge. The sides and front are lowered exhibiting nice detail and form. Of course the layered paint is terrific lending an alligator surface exposing vestiges of sage green paint that was probably the original color. The desirable, honest wear exceeds all expectations and is something special we all look for in impressive pieces such as this one.
