Dianthus Sweet William
This is the true biennial Sweet William. It needs to be planted in autumn for blooming the following spring. Expect the full range of colors: some solid, and some with a clear white eye and/or margin. It tends to perennialize here in Vermont, but may behave differently in warmer climates. Electron is the classic Sweet William. Super Duplex has a higher percentage of double flowers. Messenger may be slightly taller than the others listed, and some say it blooms earlier. I welcome insight from growers who have produced these series side by side. **We do not guarantee any specific shades will appear in Mix products, as the Mix is created by the seed breeder. It is possible that Mix will be all one color, or significantly different from pictured colors. If you need specific shades, please order straight colors as opposed to Mix trays.** Grown in a 216 cell tray, billed as 210. Order 7 or more weeks in advance of desired ship date.
