Tithonia
Tithonia, or Mexican Sunflower, is a bold and heat-loving addition to any cut flower field, boasting vibrant, daisy-like blooms that attract pollinators and shine in summer arrangements. The cultivar 'Red Torch' grows tall (6'), producing large, fiery red-orange flowers on long stems perfect for dramatic bouquets, while 'Fiesta Del Sol' is a compact variety (3') with slightly smaller blooms, ideal for smaller spaces. They prefer average, well-drained soil (avoid planting in rich soil) and are fairly drought tolerant once mature (will perform optimally with adequate irrigation). Both are prolific bloomers and thrive in full sun, making them an easy choice for high-impact, low-maintenance beauty. Order 6 or more weeks in advance of desired ship date. Grown in a 128 cell tray, billed at 125.
