Tweedia Heavenly Blue

Heavenly Blue is an older and more economical variety than some of the newer Japanese strains. It is still a very worthwhile cut flower.  Tweedia are in the milkweed family and will emit a milky sap when cut. We suggest you harvest in the coolest part of the day and let your cut stems hydrate in the cooler overnight before you need them. If you are having a hard time with wilting stems, a heat treatment to the cut end of the stem will often seal off the sap and help with hydration. We don't have exact hardiness data, but they are winter hardy in some locations, even locations that freeze. We welcome your feedback.
