This white beet has been around since the 1400s, maybe before. It's easy to grow and cold tolerant. It takes about 50 to 60 days, and 30 to 40 for smaller salad beets. These have a sweet flavor and are good for frying, canning, or eating fresh. You will not be disappointed! With this one, it's rumored that George Washington grew and used it as a parent stock for cross breeding. A classic beet.   Great for your csa boxes. And pickling  This is all heirloom open pollinated. A great addition to any line up
