Antique Terracotta Court Figure Statue

17th century Chinese statue of a male court figure / official made of glazed terracotta from the Ming dynasty. This small statue displays a standing male official, wearing a red dress and a green coat which contrasts with the unglazed face. This two color glaze is characteristic of the Ming dynasty terracotta style. This Chinese 17th century Ming glazed terracotta court figure  / official statue would be an unusual decorative item in most homes, perhaps in a den sitting on a desk. Age wear.
