David Alexander Lopez Benitez is known for his smile, hospitality, and curiosity. He has been working in coffee since 2000 and has been in specialty coffee since 2011. Over the years, he has stayed curious and has continued to expand and share what he has with others – both knowledge, skills and goods. The first time he met the Feast team in Honduras, he gifted us a bag of jalepenos. We’ve been friends with David ever since, and visit with him regularly. David is always planting new varietals and experimenting with innovative processing techniques, and we are so pleased to share his coffee with you! This specific coffee is a washed process of ‘Pacas.’  Ripe cherries are picked, pulped, fermented for a day and then washed and dried. This cup is balanced with sweetness, stone fruit, hints of baking spice, and a pleasant black tea finish.
