Join Us for a Special Ranch Visit! We’re excited to invite you to Valhalla Yarns at Pomponio Ranch in San Gregorio on Saturday, May 2nd. This is your chance to see firsthand where our beloved local yarns come from, meet the animals, and connect with the people behind the fibers we carry at Fengari. Schedule of the Day 10:00–10:15 am: Arrive and settle in at Pomponio Ranch with hot tea, cocoa and a morning snack. 10:30 am Presentation: Ranch owner Signe Ostby and manager Chris Giannini will share the story of Pomponio Ranch, the animals who live there, and how the land is being restored through holistic grazing management. Learn how careful animal care leads to high-quality fleece Understand micron counts and what makes yarn soft, strong, or lofty Follow the journey from fleece to the squishy skeins you love in your hands Hands-On Experience Walk to the barn to meet the sheep and alpacas Hear about fleece processing, from shearing through spinning, with plenty of time for questions
