This 1904 book by Rupert Hughes is titled "The Real New York", and gives the reader a glimpse into the social history of the city...good and bad.  Illustrations by Henry Mayer throughout the book bring the story to life.  First edition.  Contains 384 pages.  Measures 5" x 7 3/4" x 1 1/4".  The Statue of Liberty graces the front cover.  Notice the artist sitting atop her torch!  Front/back covers and spine have wear as you can see in the photos.  One litho inside the book is loose from the binding.  Otherwise overall good shape.  Neat book!
