14 Wale Corduroy in Acorn

Our 14 wale corduroy line from Robert Kaufman is a high quality bottom weight corduroy appropriate for sewing trousers and outerwear. This fabric is 100% Cotton with very little stretch, is 57" wide, and has a weight of 8.1 ounces per square yard. Corduroy (French for cord of the King) is a sturdy yet supple high-quality fabric. The width of the cord in corduroy is the size of the wale, or the number of ridges per inch. Traditional corduroy is usually 10 to 12 wale; the higher the wale, the thinner the width of the wale. Care instructions: Machine wash cold. Delicate cycle. No bleach. Wash dark colors separately. Tumble dry low. Remove promptly.
