c. 1890s warm, rolled-gold finish with hand-etched wave or tendril design on the front. rounded square form flanked with decorative filigree borders. opens from the top to reveal 2 interior compartments with original removable frames for storing photos or other tiny keepsakes. Paired with a modern 18" 14kt gold-fill chain.  hallmarked "W & H Co" for Whightman & Hough Co. of Providence RI locket measures 1" x 1" very good/excellent condition. some wear to gold finish notable on edges and back. firm clasp. --------- boxes and photo props shown not included. jewelry is shipped in padded presentation boxes. --------- antique and vintage lockets are sourced from a variety of decades.
